Description: Mirandese or the mirandese language is the name of a language spoken in the northeast of Portugal, before the foundation of the Portuguese nationality. In what structure is concerned it is a Romanic language, which has its main origin in the Latin. Historically, it belongs to the family of the languages astur-leonese, where Asturian and Leonese are also included.

Description: The paper illustrates one possibility of analysing language autobiography. It is based on a case study (one language autobiography, whose author has not chosen to build the linguistic development in a chronological order, but as a self-portrait of a person/a language learner who insists on the difficulties in foreign language acquision).
